Easter Bunny - I know what I want for Easter!

The new Mac iPad just came out just in time for Easter. I think this exactly what I would want in my Easter basket.

In fact, I would give up my chocolates, my jelly beans, my Peeps, my Easter Basket and even the Easter flowers just for this! What do you think? Can we make a deal?

Happy Easter to Me! Thank you Lexington!

Oh I wanted to share this with you! I woke up this morning and look what a nice surprise I got! These flowers have bloomed on the tree outside my window. Isn't it just lovely! It was like a nice good morning kiss from Lexington, saying Good Morning Rhonda! Have a Happy Easter here! Enjoy your first Easter with us! I just love it!

It is Good Friday followed by Easter on Sunday!

Easter is a religious day for many this means church service. It also means getting together with family and celebrating. Whatever you and your family do, I hope you thoroughly enjoy your weekend.
If it is cooking or baking, get your little one this cute chef's hat and mitt and they can help you in kitchen. Take pictures and send them to me!

Or buy yourself a little pink Easter dress and a coordinating one for your little angel. The two of you will look "Fab" in your Mommy and me dresses especially for Easter!

April Fools!

Ever wonder what the origin of April Fool's Day is? Well I "Googled" it and found a nice explanation on this website: www.wilstar.com

Unlike most of the other nonfoolish holidays, the history of April Fool's Day, sometimes called All Fool's Day, is not totally clear. There really wasn't a "first April Fool's Day" that can be pinpointed on the calendar. Some believe it sort of evolved simultaneously in several cultures at the same time, from celebrations involving the first day of spring.

The closest point in time that can be identified as the beginning of this tradition was in 1582, in France. Prior to that year, the new year was celebrated for eight days, beginning on March 25. The celebration culminated on April 1. With the reform of the calendar under Charles IX, the Gregorian Calendar was introduced, and New Year's Day was moved to January 1.

Wouldn't be the same to celebrate New Years March 25th but I am not necessarily sure it wouldn't be fun to celebrate for 8 days. Sort of like Mardi Gras! So if your kids try to get you (and you know they will) try try to remember... Today is April Fools Day!

What will you put in your Easter Baskets?

I still remember my Easter Baskets as a kid! I loved getting all the sweet candy and of course, the special toys or treat that I may get. Sometimes it was jewelry, sometimes it was paint brushes or crayons. It always was something that I needed. I think the Easter Bunny ranked right up there with Santa. The great part was that I always got a new pair of shoes and an Easter Dress.

As a Mom I look forward to my little one (he's almost 10 now) getting his Easter Basket!

Here are some things I think you will most likely see.....

Come visit me at Victorian Square... So much to see!

Do you know where I am? I am situated in Victorian Square. I love this building! Great architecture and details! All of the merchants, my neighbors, my friends spend their days here just like I do.

We like to see your smiling faces. The Explorium of Lexington is a great place to bring your children. So much to do. Check out their link on my page and see what you may do with your kids. Then stop by and visit me!

Easter also means flowers!!!

There is nothing is prettier or smells as fragrant than fresh flowers! Easter means people will be buying flowers and giving them to their friends, family, and co-workers. I love the flowers that are in season for Easter: Daffodils, Easter Lillies, and of course, Tulips. I have had an affair with flowers since I was a little girl picking them from someone's garden (shhhh don't tell my Mom, she would just kill me).

Buy yourself a little bit of sunshine and happiness - bring home some daff's or lillies for yourself this Easter! Enjoy the holiday!
